Digital Audio Recording (DAR)

RTS Communications have extensive experience within the “In-court / hearing room” environment, having the skills and experience to provide locally based or centrally located recordings in either a stand-alone or networked environment. RTS have recently designed and installed a complete in-court system to a refurbished court building in central London, which contained:

A complete in-court package, including microphones, automatic digital mixers, in-court PA and the means to plug in “playback” devices enabling audio evidence or previous hearings to be played out in a live court environment.

Our bespoke design involved the use of a multi building fibre network so that digital recorders can be maintained from within the courtroom or from the “Courts Recording & Transcription Unit” main office located within the main building.

We have also implemented a digital recording system that records 80 courts simultaneously while backing up weekly to digital storage media so that hearings may be stored for over the requisite 7 year period, with an easy to recall system.
